A taste of Paris gastronomy event

In May 2017, the third edition of a grand cuisine and pastry exhibition will take place at the Grand Palais in Paris. “A taste of Paris” is a gathering of 21 major figures of the French Cuisine world, organized around workshops, tastings and demonstrations. Ten regular names are joined by eleven chefs who are new to the event. The event will take place from May 18th to 21st, 2017.

Different formulas ranging from simple visitor passes to all round tickets are available. The event will evolve in the beautiful decor of the 1900 palace, easily recognizable with its huge steel and glass roof. You will find two dozen stands where you will have an opportunity to meet chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Thierry Marx, Pierre Sang Boyer, Frédéric Anton, Guy Savoy, Kei Kobayashi, Juan Arbelaez… a unique opportunity to have a broad view of great French Cuisine in one single occasion, get a taste of some of the best tables in Paris without having to dine thoroughly in each place, and perhaps get an idea of where you would next like to have a great meal. The chefs will elaborate about 70 dishes and desserts specially conceived for the occasion. They will be accessible in tasting portions with prices ranging between 5 and 12 euros each.

You might have to be patient in order to get to the food itself, as this event is often quite sought after…  but it is definitely a worthy wait!
